Following the Government’s announcement this afternoon, the Directors of Camelford Leisure Centre will be closing the Centre to the public from tonight.

The Government have committed to reviewing this decision as the situation improves and we intend to reopen the Centre as soon as it is allowed.  Our intention is that small numbers of staff will continue to do maintenance in the Centre to keep it in a good state whilst it is closed.

All staff will continue to be employed by the Centre using the support that we are being offered by the Government during this crisis.

The Directors are aware that many of our members  will suffer from financial hardship and our new membership software lets us freeze memberships in a quite straightforward manner.  However, it would be extremely helpful if members felt able to continue paying their memberships as the Centre will have continuing costs that we will need to cover during the period of closure.  If you would like us to freeze your membership from the beginning of April, email Pat ( or Pete (   by 25th March.
