Swimming is one of the most effective (and enjoyable) ways to exercise your body and improve your fitness. Our pool is 20 meters long, heated to a very pleasant 30 degrees by our energy efficient biomass boiler.
We offer leisure swims, length sessions, family swims, we also have a great Swim School and also offer adult lessons and a range of water based fitness classes.
Lengths Swim
During these sessions, the pool is dedicated to people wishing to swim lengths, with a total of four lanes. These lanes are for adults, young people and children of various swimming speeds. The pool is divided into lanes to cater for all swimmers of different speeds. We offer early morning sessions as well as during the day. Lane swims fill up very quickly and we always advise booking.
Leisure Swim
These sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities, and we welcome families, children who can swim (see our swim policy for non swimmers) and adults of all ages. Please note that there are no dedicated swimming lanes during general swim sessions. Children under 8 years must be accompanied in the pool by a parent or guardian, children under the age of 12 years must have an adult on site while the child is swimming. Our parent/child ratio is 2:1..
Family Swim
A fun swim session with floats, toys and music for families with younger children 🙂
To maintain a family friendly environment all children must be attended in the water with an adult.
Baby & Pre School Lessons
Baby & preschool swimming lessons introduce young children to the water in a safe and nurturing environment. These classes typically cater to infants and toddlers up to 4 years old, and are taught by our experienced and certified instructors who specialise in teaching young children how to swim. The classes focus on building water confidence, developing essential water safety skills, and promoting early swimming skills through games and activities. Parents are usually required to be in the water with their children, creating a supportive and enjoyable family experience. Baby & preschool swimming lessons are not only a fun activity for young children, but also provide important life-saving skills and promote physical development.
Swimming Lessons
The benefits of swimming for children are well-documented, it is a good idea to ensure your child is comfortable and confident in the water from an early age.
Our group lessons run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. We follow the STA International Learn to Swim Programme (ILSP) with all lessons being taught by our very own qualified coaches. You can purchase certificates and badges at each stage of your child progress.
We believe that it’s never too late to learn to swim so we also offer adult swimming lessons. In addition to group lessons.
